| Welcome to the Reading Course entitled "Introduction to Clinical Epidemiology". This reading course has been designed exclusively for the students currently enrolled in the AMA Scientific Research Course. This reading course is intended to be a complement to the classes and tutorials provided by the AMA Scientific Research Course. The objectives of this course are: 1. To introduce concepts and principles of clinical epidemiology. 2. To develop an approach for addressing health research questions using appropriate research methods. 3. To be able to critically appraise a biomedical research article. Every month, the students will receive the reading material via e-mail. The students will have a month to read the material and to submit via-email the answers of a multiple choice questionnare. Deadlines for each session will be posted on the website. You can address any concerns or questions to Dr Delgado via e-mail at any time. At the end of the course a multiple choice final exam will be sent to the students. Also the students will have to perform a critical appraisal of two publications. |
